Julie- Owner/Developmental Specialist:
Julie attended the University of Idaho and has a Bachelor’s of Science in Education (Elementary Education). She has worked as a Developmental Specialist for adults since 1999 and has held several certifications in regards to working with children. Some of her responsibilities include working as part of the Upper Valley Options team in regards to updating policies and procedures, quality assurance, being familiar with current IDAPA rules. She is responsible for training and direct supervision of additional developmental specialists as well as other staff members and participates in and conducts annual trainings as required. She meets with multi-disciplinary team members and is accountable for completing necessary evaluation, obtaining required documents, writing, implementing, and tracking each program. She also takes the steps necessary to provide assistance for each individual to make progress toward their goals and works directly with each participant. She is dependable, responsible, caring, compassionate and is able to relate well with participants, family members and additional team members. Julie enjoys her variety of job responsibilities and watching each participant strive to reach their fullest potential. Each day is a new beginning and a new set of challenges and rewards.
